The Albanese government in Australia has announced major reforms to address sexual misconduct in the military, including an independent inquiry into sexual violence. Of the 122 recommendations from the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide, 104 were accepted. Changes include discharging personnel convicted of sexual offenses, publishing annual data on sexual misconduct, and establishing a new oversight body by September 2025.
