Salvage operation planned for the sunken Bayesian superyacht, site of a fatal accident that killed seven people.

The $40 million Bayesian superyacht, which sank off Sicily in August and killed seven people, including tech tycoon Mike Lynch and his daughter, is set for salvage. A consortium led by British Marine has proposed eight plans to rotate the yacht 90 degrees on the seabed without removing fuel or the mast, then lift it using cranes or a buoyancy system. The operation, expected to cost $30 million, must be approved by Italian authorities to preserve evidence for the ongoing investigation. It's set to begin in mid-January and conclude by February.
