Lima beekeeper rescues over 4 million bees, relocating them to Andean forests to thrive.

Alfredo Santiago, a 35-year-old beekeeper in Lima, Peru, rescues bees from various locations like houses and playgrounds without charging. Since starting in 2020, he has saved around 4 million bees, transporting them to his home on Lima's outskirts where he cares for them and sells honey. Due to Lima's lack of green spaces, Santiago further relocates the bees to Andean forests to recover before returning them to nature.
