A 49-year-old jewellery shop clerk in Johor Baru was scammed out of RM2.6 million after being lured into an online investment scheme on social media. She initially invested RM100,000, received a profit, and then transferred a larger sum, only to be asked for more payments without any returns. She filed a police report on November 30, and the case is under investigation for cheating. Another woman, a teacher, also reported losing RM243,000 to a phone scam on the same day.
