Gwinnett County jail removes hot water machines after inmates used them to cause scalding injuries.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office removed hot water machines from the jail due to inmates using the water, heated over 220 degrees, to scald others, causing serious injuries. Initially meant for coffee and commissary items, the machines were removed as a safety measure. Inmates still have access to hot and cold water for hygiene.
