Four recent Australian high school graduates are spending their gap year working on North Queensland farms, aiming to improve their riding skills and gain experience with farm machinery. Simon Cheatham, founder of Ringers From The Top End, reports rising interest among young people for such opportunities. Troy Livingston will travel to a remote cattle station, while others plan to work on family properties or as contractors, hoping to develop skills for future careers.
