The East African Community (EAC) leaders have agreed to expedite the formation of a political federation, a long-term goal since 1963. This move aims to integrate Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania further, enhancing trade and stability. Currently, intra-regional trade stands at 28%, and leaders stressed the importance of peace and security for economic growth and investment.
