Two Bay District Schools employees face child abuse charges after alleged assaults on a school bus.

Two Bay District Schools employees, bus driver Althea Russell and paraprofessional Sylinda Goodman, face charges of child abuse and neglect after incidents on a school bus. Goodman, arrested on charges including child abuse and simple assault, allegedly hit and pinched multiple children and instructed a disabled student to hit another child. Russell is accused of neglect for failing to report the abuse. Four children were identified as victims. Bay District Schools has placed both employees on leave and is cooperating with the investigation.
