A Philadelphia mother's DNA test confirmed her 10-day-old daughter, thought to have died in a 1997 fire, was alive, leading to a kidnapping arrest.

Luz Cuevas, a Philadelphia mother, never accepted that her 10-day-old daughter, Delimar, died in a 1997 house fire. In 2004, Cuevas recognized her daughter at a birthday party and confirmed her identity through a DNA test. Carolyn Correa, a cousin of Delimar's father by marriage, was arrested and charged with kidnapping and related crimes.
