NHL fines Zadorov and Malkin $5,000 each for on-ice altercation during Penguins vs. Bruins game.

Nikita Zadorov of the Boston Bruins and Evgeni Malkin of the Pittsburgh Penguins were each fined $5,000 by the NHL for their actions during a game on Nov. 29. Zadorov was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct after poking Malkin with his stick from the bench. Malkin retaliated, swinging his stick and accidentally hitting another player. Both fines are the maximum allowed under the league's agreement and will go to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund. The Penguins won the game 2-1.
