Deputy killed armed individual who fired at him in West Virginia; deputy shot, not life-threatening.
A West Virginia sheriff's deputy shot and killed an armed individual who fired at him in Bolt, about 40 miles south of Charleston, after responding to a 911 call about a mentally disturbed person. The deputy sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was treated at a local hospital. The Raleigh County Sheriff's Office and West Virginia State Police are investigating the incident.
