Chinese surveillance firm Hikvision, partly owned by the Chinese government, lobbied Australian officials ahead of new cybersecurity laws. The company registered its lobbying efforts with the government's transparency register, but opposition spokesman James Paterson calls for other Chinese-linked tech firms to do the same. Hikvision's CCTV devices were previously removed from federal buildings due to security concerns.
