Masdar, a leading UAE clean energy company, has completed the acquisition of 70% of Greek renewable energy firm Terna Energy for €3.2 billion. This marks the largest energy deal on the Athens Stock Exchange and in the EU renewable sector. Masdar aims to expand Terna Energy's capacity to 6GW by 2029 and contribute to its goal of achieving 100GW of global renewable energy by 2030. The deal strengthens Masdar's European presence and supports Greece's energy transition.
