Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced a $7.1 million investment over three years to support Prince Edward Island's school food program, part of a $1-billion, five-year national initiative. P.E.I. is the fourth province to join, after Newfoundland and Labrador, Manitoba, and Ontario. Premier Dennis King will add $15 million to the program. Currently serving 850,000 meals, the program aims to reach one million meals by 2025.
