Seventy-six AI-generated digital textbooks have been approved for use in Japanese schools starting March.

For the first time, 76 AI-based digital textbooks covering math, English, and information have been certified for classroom use in elementary to high school. Selected from 146 submissions, these textbooks will be displayed at schools starting Monday, allowing each school to choose which to use alongside traditional books beginning in March. The education ministry hopes these digital resources will enable more personalized learning for students.
