Scott Thomas Burns, 33, was sentenced to nine years in prison with six years of mandatory parole for a violent crime spree in June 2023, involving carjackings and threatening police with a loaded shotgun in Charlestown Square. Burns, on parole and under the influence of methamphetamine, led police on a high-speed chase and was eventually subdued with bean bag rounds. He is eligible for parole in February 2030.
