Researchers receive grant to develop new cream to prevent and treat skin cancers in organ transplant patients.

Researchers at the University of Queensland received a $344,000 grant to develop a new topical cream that aims to prevent and treat skin cancers in organ transplant patients. The cream, developed with UniQuest's drug discovery initiative, could offer a much-needed preventive and treatment option, as there are currently no FDA-approved treatments for skin cancers like squamous cell carcinomas in these patients. This funding will help advance the cream through pre-clinical development stages.
