Oklahoma begins $42 million I-44 and Route 66 intersection improvement project near Catoosa.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation is starting a $42 million project near Catoosa to improve safety and traffic flow at the I-44 and Route 66 intersection. Scheduled to be completed by summer 2026, the project includes straightening a curve in westbound I-44 and building a new exit ramp and bridge for Route 66. Drivers should anticipate lane closures, but ODOT will keep two lanes open during peak times.
