From December 2021 to September 2024, North Wales supported over 300 asylum seekers, with the number increasing each year. Most received "section 95" support for pending asylum claims or appeals and "section 4" support for destitute individuals. The total UK-wide support reached 109,024. Spending on asylum seekers rose by 36%, and the number living in hotels increased post-July's general election.
