Nearly 24,000 patients in Wales have waited over two years for treatment, mostly in the north.

Nearly half of NHS Wales patients waiting over two years for treatment are in the northern regions, totaling around 24,000 patients. The number of patients waiting over two years has stabilized, partly due to a £7.3 million investment from the Welsh Government. The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board aims to reduce this list to about 5,000 by April. However, progress is being undermined by increased waiting times in other areas.
