A 26-year-old Myanmar maid in Singapore, Junny Lal Awn Pui, was sentenced to nine months in prison for killing a pet dog named Boyboy. The abuse, which included hitting the dog’s head multiple times and hanging it, was captured on a balcony camera. The maid pleaded guilty to three counts of animal cruelty. The employer, Heng, instructed the maid to mistreat the dog. Authorities are considering charges against others involved.
