Mexican actress Silvia Pinal, a key figure in the Golden Age of cinema, passed away at 93. Over her 60-year career, she starred in films with Mexican legends like Cantinflas and Pedro Infante, and appeared in Luis Buñuel's acclaimed films. Pinal transitioned to television and also worked as a producer and served in Congress. She was hospitalized for a urinary tract infection before her death was confirmed by Mexico's Culture Secretary. Pinal is survived by her ex-husband Enrique Guzmán and her daughters, actress Sylvia Pasquel and rock singer Alejandra Guzmán.
