India's first new integrated refinery in a decade, the HPCL Rajasthan Refinery, is nearing completion in Pachpadra, Rajasthan.
Jointly developed by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation and the Rajasthan government, the $13.5 billion refinery is set to process up to 9 million tons of crude annually, with over 83% being imported medium-grade crude.
Expected to start operations by early 2025, the refinery will produce Euro 6-grade diesel, gasoline, and various petrochemical products, aiming to meet northern India's high demand for refined oil products.
