Ghana's public debt fell by GH¢46.8 billion to GH¢761 billion in October 2024, or about $27.9 billion, representing 74.6% of GDP. The external debt dropped by GH¢52.6 billion to GH¢453.7 billion, or 44.5% of GDP, while the domestic debt increased to GH¢307.3 billion, or 30.1% of GDP. The government's fiscal deficit-to-GDP ratio was 3.9% as of July 2024.
