Germany's import prices fell annually in October, but rose monthly, driven by a drop in energy prices.

Germany's import prices fell by 0.8% annually in October, the second straight month of decline, but at a slower rate than in September. Monthly import prices increased by 0.6%, the first growth in four months. Energy prices dropped by 14.1%, but excluding energy, import prices rose by 0.9% year-over-year. Export price inflation also increased to 0.6%, up from 0.4% previously, with monthly export prices rising by 0.3%.
