A Delhi court temporarily halted Bikaner House's seizure if ₹50.31 lakh is paid within a week.
A Delhi court has temporarily halted the seizure of Bikaner House, a heritage site in New Delhi, owned by Rajasthan's Nagar Palika Naukha. This stay is conditional on the local authority depositing ₹50.31 lakh, owed to Enviro Infra Engineers Pvt Ltd, within a week. The debt stems from a 2020 arbitration award over a 2011 project. If the payment isn't made, the court could auction the property, valued at around one crore. The next hearing is scheduled for January 7, 2025.
