Bangladesh freezes bank accounts of 17 ISKCON-linked individuals, including a sedition arrestee, for 30 days.

Bangladesh's Financial Intelligence Unit has ordered the freezing of bank accounts for 17 individuals linked to ISKCON, including former member Chinmoy Krishna Das, arrested on sedition charges. The accounts will be frozen for 30 days, halting all transactions. The BFIU has also requested detailed account information and transaction statements from banks within three days. This decision follows Das's arrest and denial of bail, amid clashes that resulted in the death of a lawyer.
