NHS Grampian in Scotland has declared a critical incident due to high demand on Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. Ambulance patients will be diverted to hospitals outside the region unless they need immediate life-saving care. The hospital will continue cancer treatment and diagnostics but postpone elective procedures. NHS Grampian is working with neighboring boards and the Scottish Ambulance Service to manage the situation.
