Zambia's Vice President Mutale Nalumango urged African nations to invest in climate-resilient technologies during the 45th COMESA Council meeting. The focus was on developing resilient agriculture, mining, and tourism sectors in the face of climate change impacts. COMESA Secretary-General Chileshe Kapwepwe stressed the need for sustainable agri-food systems to combat food insecurity. The European Union also reaffirmed its support for COMESA's efforts in regional integration and sustainable development.
