Thailand's six major airports implement facial recognition for international flights to cut checkpoint times.

Starting December 1, six major airports in Thailand will use facial recognition for international flight passengers to reduce checkpoint times from three to one minute. Passengers must register and scan their faces at check-in counters to use the system, allowing them to drop luggage without showing documents. Biometric data is erased after 48 hours per privacy laws. The service was first introduced for domestic flights on November 1.
