Switzerland refuses to ban Hezbollah, citing lack of UN sanctions, unlike the banned Hamas group.

Switzerland has decided not to ban the Lebanese group Hezbollah, despite a parliamentary committee's call to do so. The government cited that current law requires UN sanctions or a UN ban before such a move, unlike in the case of Hamas, which was banned following the October 7 attack. The decision will be reviewed during the December parliamentary session.
