Six Cambodian activists, associated with an opposition party, were deported from Thailand to face treason charges in Cambodia for making critical Facebook comments about a regional development agreement. Rights groups claim there is a de facto agreement between Thailand and Cambodia to return political dissidents. The activists, who could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted, are expected to face harsh conditions in Cambodian prisons.
