Ohio program lets hunters donate venison, providing up to 200 meals per deer to food banks.

Ohio's Department of Natural Resources is working with Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry to let deer hunters donate venison to food banks. Hunters can take their harvested deer to one of 34 certified processors in Ohio. The program, supported by a $30,000 grant, turns each deer into about 200 meals. The donated venison helps support those in need through charitable organizations.
