New Zealand imposes sanctions on Russian entities linked to chemical weapons use and Iranian arms supply.

New Zealand has announced new sanctions against Russia, targeting individuals and entities involved in the use of chemical weapons in Ukraine and the supply of Iranian missiles and drones to Russia. The sanctions aim to address illegal activities and join international efforts like the UK-initiated Call to Action against the 'shadow fleet', which poses threats to maritime safety and environmental protection. Since March 2022, New Zealand has sanctioned over 1,700 individuals and entities related to Russia.
