Montana is filling judicial vacancies left by two justices elected to the state Supreme Court.

Montana is filling positions left vacant by justices Cory Swanson and Katherine Bidegaray, who were recently elected to the Montana Supreme Court and will start on January 6, 2025. The Broadwater County Commission will appoint a new county attorney to finish Swanson's term, while Governor Greg Gianforte will appoint a new judge for Bidegaray's vacancy, with applications due by December 16 and an expected appointment by February 15.
