India's iron ore production rose by 4.1% to 158.4 million metric tonnes in the first seven months of FY 2024-25, reflecting strong demand in sectors like construction and energy. Manganese ore and bauxite production also increased by 11.1% and 11.3%, respectively. Primary aluminium and refined copper production grew by 1.2% and 6%, respectively, highlighting robust economic activity. This growth places India as a major global producer in these minerals.
