In Decatur, a 35-year-old man died after being shot multiple times while unlawfully entering a home. The homeowner, a 66-year-old woman, was also injured. A family member of the homeowner, who had a valid FOID card and concealed carry license, shot the intruder. The Decatur State's Attorney, Scott A. Rueter, reviewed surveillance footage and decided not to file charges against the family member.
