China's Zhangzhou nuclear power project in Fujian Province has connected its first Hualong One reactor to the power grid, marking a significant milestone in the development of this domestically produced third-generation reactor. The China National Nuclear Corporation will conduct tests to ensure the unit's readiness for commercial operation. The Zhangzhou project plans to build six reactors, with four currently under construction, aiming for a total capacity of 7.2 million kW. Globally, 33 Hualong One reactors are operational or under construction, contributing to green energy efforts.
