Defence Minister Bill Blair stressed the importance of building relationships with Indigenous communities for Canada's defence success at the first National Indigenous Defence Conference in Ottawa. Blair highlighted the need to gain trust and work collaboratively, especially concerning the defence of the North and Arctic infrastructure. The conference will also explore Indigenous procurement and participation in the Armed Forces.
