Canada buys 19 Swiss-made PC-21 aircraft for $2.27 billion to modernize air force training.

Canada has agreed to purchase 19 Pilatus PC-21 aircraft from Swiss firm Pilatus Aircraft for the Royal Canadian Air Force's (RCAF) Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) program. The $2.27 billion, 25-year FAcT program, led by SkyAlyne, aims to modernize RCAF training. The PC-21s, known for their efficiency, will be stationed at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, starting in 2026, replacing the current three separate training programs.
