Cambodia boasts over 2,500 electric cars, aiming for 30,000 by 2030 to curb emissions.

Cambodia registered 2,513 electric cars by October 2024, with popular brands including BYD, Toyota, and Tesla. The government aims to raise this number to 30,000 by 2030 and achieve a 40% target of electric cars and buses, and 70% of electric motorbikes by 2050, to reduce emissions. Currently, there are 21 EV charging stations in the country.
