Bexar County Jail in Texas faces monitoring after failing to comply with inmate care standards.

The Bexar County Jail in Texas has been deemed noncompliant twice in the past 18 months for holding inmates over 48 hours and failing to provide medications. The Texas Commission on Jail Standards will monitor the jail with unannounced inspections. In response, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office plans to install radar technology, create 48-hour reports for inmate tracking, and conduct audits to improve compliance and health care.
