Access Bank Plc, a Nigerian bank, has completed the acquisition of Standard Chartered Bank's subsidiaries in Angola and Sierra Leone, and plans to acquire subsidiaries in Cameroon, The Gambia, and Tanzania. The CEO, Roosevelt Ogbonna, stated the acquisitions aim to boost the bank's presence in Corporate and SME markets and strengthen its global position. This follows Standard Chartered's exit from operations in several African countries.
