VAT fraudster Robert Kemp, on the run since 2021, was caught after ordering a kebab in Rhyl, Wales.

Robert Kemp, a 56-year-old VAT fraudster, was arrested in Rhyl, Wales, after ordering a kebab delivery. Kemp had been on the run since June 2021, failing to attend court hearings after admitting to fraud. The order led HM Revenue and Customs officers to his hideout. He and his son, Marcus, fraudulently reclaimed £251,499. Marcus was jailed in September 2021. Robert Kemp received a two-year and two-month sentence for VAT fraud, two additional months for evading arrest, and a year for an unrelated offence.
