Two access areas on the Nolichucky River in Tennessee have reopened after Hurricane Helene damage.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) has reopened the Poplar Springs Access Area and Joe Johnson Access Area at Bird's Bridge on the Nolichucky River in Greene County, which were damaged by Hurricane Helene. Boaters and anglers are advised to exercise caution due to potential debris and altered river conditions. Meanwhile, the Rankin Access Area on the French Broad River remains closed until spring 2025.
