Turkey has reduced its $23 billion deal with the US for F-16 fighter jets by canceling the purchase of 79 modernization kits for its existing fleet.
The country plans to modernize these jets domestically.
Turkey still intends to buy 40 new F-16 jets for about $7 billion.
