Russian hackers exploited two zero-day vulnerabilities in Firefox and Windows to install malware on victims' computers without needing any user interaction. The hacking group, RomCom, targeted sectors like defense, energy, and government in Ukraine, and pharmaceutical and insurance sectors in the U.S. The vulnerabilities were patched by Mozilla and Microsoft on October 9 and November 12, respectively.
