Raymond Noel, 52, was convicted of attempting to murder and assault an East Rochester police officer, Brad Steve, who was responding to a domestic situation. During the incident in January, Noel fired at Officer Steve, hitting him in the chest but not seriously injuring him due to a bullet-resistant vest. Noel faces up to 40 years to life in prison, with sentencing set for January 15, 2025.
