Nigerian commission finds 16,800 bags of government rice being sold illicitly, arrests one.

The Kano Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission (PCACC) discovered 16,800 bags of government-provided rice, worth about N1.3 billion, being repackaged for sale at a warehouse. The rice was initially intended for distribution during last year’s Ramadan. The PCACC arrested one person and will investigate the case further.
