Mitchell & Butlers faces £100M cost hike, plans price increases amid rising wages and taxes.

Mitchells & Butlers, which owns several pub and restaurant chains, warns of a £100 million cost increase due to higher wages and national insurance contributions following the UK Budget. Despite a recent pre-tax profit of £199 million, the company plans to raise prices to offset these costs. Like-for-like sales rose 5.3% last year, but volumes are expected to decline slightly in the coming year.
